This page explains, in plain language, what information Restaurant Selections collects and how it is used.

The short version
Restaurant Selections is a blog. We do not run advertising on our articles, we do not have comment forms (comments are closed) and we do not run a newsletter. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which articles they read, and our server keeps standard logs.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use and your approximate location. We use this information only in summary form to improve the site. You can learn how Google uses this data on Google’s own privacy pages, and you can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs. These record your IP address, your browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. We use these logs only for security and troubleshooting, for example to spot attacks or fix errors.
Other cookies
Apart from Google Analytics, we do not set cookies for visitors. The WordPress software that runs the site may set a cookie only for logged-in administrators, so that they can manage the site.
Emails you send us
If you email us at info@RestaurantSelections.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else.
Links and contributed articles
Our articles link to other websites, such as health departments, labor statistics agencies and universities, and some contributed articles link to their authors’ sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle data.
Your questions and requests
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@RestaurantSelections.com. We will respond as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date above.
